Finnish whisky: the art of slow maturation
Finland’s unique climate – cold, wet and with long winters – creates the perfect conditions for slow, controlled whisky maturation. The low temperatures allow for a slow interaction between the liquid and the barrel, resulting in smooth, elegant and nuanced distillates.
With minimal evaporation known as “angel’s share” (approximately 3.5% of total volume) and constant humidity, Finnish whisky retains its original character while developing complex aromas: fruit, spice and a subtle hint of peat.
The result is a refined sensory experience, ideal for palates that value depth and smoothness.
